At Kindred and Called, our Lay Counseling isn't clinical—it's compassionate, Christ-centered guidance from people who care. Whether you’re carrying emotional burdens, wrestling with past wounds, or simply feeling stuck, we offer a space to process, pray, and find direction through meaningful conversation.
Every session is designed to help you:
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a safe place to start.
Let’s talk—and invite God into the conversation.
Please reach us at admin@kindredandcalled.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Lay counseling is non-clinical, faith-based guidance provided by trained volunteers or mentors. It’s a safe, judgment-free space to talk through personal, relational, or spiritual challenges with someone who listens, prays with you, and walks alongside you.
Anyone who desires guidance, clarity, or encouragement—whether you're single, dating, or navigating emotional or spiritual questions. You don't need to be a member of Kindred and Called to schedule a session.
No. Lay counseling is not a substitute for licensed therapy. It focuses on faith-centered conversation, biblical encouragement, and prayer—not diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. If deeper or clinical care is needed, we will gladly help you connect to the right professional resources.
You're welcome to bring anything that's on your heart—relationship concerns, faith struggles, emotional burnout, boundaries, purpose, or past wounds. Nothing is off-limits if you're seeking clarity and healing.
Currently, sessions are offered on a donation basis. If you're able, we encourage a small contribution to support this ministry, but no one will be turned away for financial reasons.
You can book through our website by choosing an available time slot. We'll follow up with details about your counselor and session location (in person or virtual).
Yes. Everything shared remains private unless there's a legal or safety concern. Our counselors are committed to creating a safe space rooted in trust, faith, and discretion.
We do our best to match you with someone based on your situation and preferences. If you have a gender preference or would feel more comfortable with someone of a certain background, just let us know when you submit your request.
Stay in the loop with Kindred and Called. We’ll send updates on parties, small groups, and relationship-building tips—right to your inbox. Prefer to connect directly? Email us anytime at admin@kindredandcalled.com
